Since late August of 2017, renewed violence broke out in Myanmar’s Rakhine state resulting in the mass exodus of Rohingya refugees fleeing into Bangladesh. The Rohingya are one of the most persecuted ethnic groups in the entire world. Over half a million have arrived with little more than the clothes on their backs with many leaving behind their burning villages and lost loved ones. As the humanitarian community continues to ramp up efforts to help these refugees, the future is unknown for this growing population.
